Eviquire Release Notes
This release expands Eviquire’s cross-platform capabilities with the introduction of a beta version for macOS, a reworked FFmpeg-based recording engine, enhanced application-specific audio and window capture, improved mobile acquisition support, and modernized Mail and Mobile acquisition interfaces.
The release also introduces substantial improvements to page-shot acquisition, autoscroll reliability, Evidence Review, yt-dlp processing, multi-monitor handling, and deployment packaging across Windows, Ubuntu, and macOS.
New Features Implemented
Introduced the first beta version of Eviquire for macOS.
The macOS release includes support for:
Reworked the Eviquire recording system to use FFmpeg-based window capture.
Application-Specific Audio Recording
Added process-scoped audio capture so recordings capture sound generated by the target application without unnecessarily recording unrelated system audio.
Recording Click Indicators
Added visible click indicators to recorded videos.
Click timing and cursor synchronization have been refined so interactions align more accurately with captured video frames, including scenarios where recording frames are delayed.
Expander Browser Navigation
Added browser-style navigation controls to the Expander interface:
Expander URL Normalization
Improved URL entry handling in the Settings Expander.
Plain domains are now normalized automatically by adding https:// when no protocol is provided.
Paste Context Action
Added a Paste context action to the Settings Expander workflow for faster URL and configuration entry.
Intelligent Page-Shot Capture Suggestions
Improved page-shot acquisition by analyzing page structure and suggesting autoscroll capture when it is more appropriate for the selected content.

Improved browser capture screen selection.
Page-Shot and Autoscroll Acquisition
Improved page-shot acquisition defaults and scrollable-content detection.
Autoscroll Cancellation
Improved cancellation behavior so page-shot and autoscroll operations stop immediately, including operations that are waiting for page movement or rendering.

Modernized and reduced the Eviquire deployment package by:

Modernized the graphical interfaces used for Mail and Mobile acquisitions.

Updated the Expander toolbar with a more compact layout.

Centered the splash window during application startup.

Removed the obsolete Always on Top and Fullscreen options.
Evidence Review Improvements
FreeTSA Files
Fixed an issue where FreeTSA timestamp files were not visible in Evidence Review.

Facebook Acquisition
Fixed an issue affecting scrolling during Facebook acquisitions.
Browser Window Capture
Fixed recording behavior that could capture unrelated desktop content instead of limiting the recording to the application or browser window.
Audio Isolation
Improved audio filtering so recordings capture audio from the target application rather than unrelated system sounds.
Stability Fixes
Improved overall recording and acquisition stability across Windows, Ubuntu, and macOS.
Known Bug
When multiple monitors are used, consistent display scaling across all monitors is recommended.
Different scaling values may affect capture coordinates, click indicators, or visual alignment during recording and page-shot acquisition.
